Jamie "AM" Alexander McMillan (b. London, UK 1989) is an artist and filmmaker based in Toronto and Glasgow. Working between analog and digital modes of production, he explores expanded cinema, print technology, and creative coding. He completed his Master’s at the Glasgow School of Art in 2015 and BFA at OCAD University in 2012. His work has been presented in Canada and Internationally, including the The Drake Hotel (Toronto), Giardino Dell’ArteCultura (Florence), The Poetry Club (Glasgow), Glasgow Film Theatre (Glasgow) Gayfield Gallery (Edinburgh), XPACE Cultural Centre (Toronto), Images Film Festival (Toronto), and Scotiabank Nuit Blanche (Toronto). Complimentary to his practice, he founded and runs the Augmented Cinema Film Festival, which supports emerging artists, designers and filmmakers working in film, video, and animation to exhibit their work in cinemas.
